Visited the Solana Beach home of the brewery on 28th May 2016 and had 12 x 3oz pours of their beers on tap: this was one of them. Really enjoyed this smooth and rich brew. Black with a creamy, lasting head. Full of coffee and chocolate esters, a joy to drink. The best of the lot for me (of the 12 I had).

Visited the Solana Beach home of the brewery on 28th May 2016 and had 12 x 3oz pours of their beers on tap: this was one of them. Deep brown, almost black bodied, beige head. Coffee and chocolate in both the nose and taste: liked it, although their Imperial Stout was a whole lot better.

Looked good, a true red hue to the body, off-white head that hung around. Sweet in nature this has a lot more malts than hops within it’s make up. My sweet tooth took to it straight away.

Delicate flavours and nose, like most Kolsch style beers, decent and refreshing without unsetting or testing any of your senses.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a medium brown color with a small white head. Aroma was light milk chocolate. Some light chocolate, creamy notes. Light roast. Tasty.
