Colour of applejuice; as much head. Fruity nose, sweetened yoghurt, grapes or passionfruit on juice, artificially sweetened. Terribly sweet, artificially fruity (apple, lemon, grape, bananaester, passionfruit, guave,..) with a tart background. Lacto’s but I don’t detect much Brett. In the taste, the artificial is less the sweetener than the aroma’s and even the acids (citric acid) and esters. Light bodied, juice-like, tart finish with even dry-out effect. I’ve said it above and I’m saying it again: artificial, synthetic.

A hazy orange beer with chuncks of yeast floating around and a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of Mirabelles. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, sirup, and mirabelles, leading to a dry end. Surprisingly good compared to other Chapeau brews, but not a Lambic.

Bottle. Sour aroma with some sort of berry smell. Absolutely no head, murkybrown colour. Very sweet and slightly sour flavour. Aftertaste is a little mouldy.

Some sour apples and a champange like body. Througly sour through out, it won`t disappoint any lover of the style.

Cloudy light tan colour. Corky, woody, bretty aroma. Green apple tartness, with hints of sugary sweetness. Still. Balanced and refreshing.

Dirty-hazy brown with greenish shine; dirty brown slim head. Absolutely disgusting, off-putting nose like rotting vegetables in an equally rotting cardboard box. Faughhh! Thank God it doesn’t taste rotten as well. In fact, it’s like sugarwater flavoured with a slight sourish tinge that is vaguely reminding of citric acid. Nondescript fruity flavour, end is like very poor faro. Light bodied, slight slick texture. I would love (well...) to say that this might well be a bad bottle. Seen "Chapeau"’s reputation, I doubt it.

Hazy, at the end muddy orange-yellow beer (?); fine white head, fast reducing. Artificial, nondescript fruit nose, both sweet and aggressive on the nasal epithelia. Sweet-fruity taste, like children’s sweets; particulary nasty, on the verge of nauseating.No connection with real mirabelles. Sticky, syrupy mouthfeel. Bweeugh!!

An unclear orange beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is very sour with lactic acid notes. The flavor is sour and yet sweet with light notes of grapefruit. A surprisingly good Lambic from de Troch.

Pale clear, old gold yellow; faint white rim, little carbonation. Nauseating smell of banana-mash, overripe, and yet sweetened with unbelievably cheap syrup of indistinct descent. Taste again overripe banana, honey or honey-covered nuts, as in some Turkish dessert meant for catching wasps. Faint sourness, as if the bananas are fermenting. Slight sharp edge, light bodied. Truly disgusting.
