Description
Founded in Spring 2019 as Coast Beer Co by James Brown with the desire to create quality, hop forward alcohol free craft beer for the modern world.

We launched with a simple promise, to only make beer that we love. It's all about taste, quality and creativity. Using the finest ingredients, innovative yeast cultures and modern brewing techniques to create beers that are always alcohol free, vegan and never compromise on taste.

As an independent brewery we're free to experiment, push the boundaries and that’s exactly what we do. With new unique offerings available each year, we pride ourselves on the diversity and range of beer that we produce.

Changed name to BRULO Autumn 2021.

Beers were originally 0.0% but changed over to 0.5% early 2025 for “a much better quality beer, less sweet and more balanced”.

Can from Brulo online shop. Brown body with ruby highlights and a thin beige head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of rust, blood orange and cranberry. Flavour of chocolate, stewed tea and a bitter, berry-like finish. Thin body with a slick texture. Light fizz. Sharp and interesting.

Can from Brulo online shop. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of melon and lemon jelly. Flavour of orange, spearmint and grass. Thin body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A decent hoppy non alcohol beer but the hops don’t shine as much as their phenomenal 7 Hop 7 Grain.

330ml can. Hazy orange, thin white head. Aroma of tropical and stone fruit juice. Taste is an amalgam of fruit purees, mostly apricot and mango for me, tropical fruits, stone fruits, lightly sweet and sour. Light bodied but not watery/thin. Excellent NA fruited sour.

Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A delicious beer. For me, this brewery is at the top of the tree when it comes to alcohol free beers.

Can picked up at Væskebalancen - Valby and drunk at home - hazed opaque orange with a tiny bubbly head. Another BRULO stunner, loads of expressive fruit coming through, juicy stonefruit citrus and tropical layers stacking up, just a slight sourness, nice juicy mouthfeel and body, pinch of salt in the close. Could murder this on a hot summer day. Lovely.

Pours hazed, bright yellow. Medium small white head. Scent is rich, citrus, tad 'dusty' not as fresh and vibrant as a 'real' IPA. Taste is fairly full, noticable NA due to the stickyness in the body, and the sharpness of the hops. Milder bitterness, some citric aroma's. Decent, but not as great as I had hoped for it to be.
