Description

Pours a murky dark orange with a big and quite dense white head that shows good retention and lacing. The nose displays a sweet, mostly caramelish, malt base, followed by delicate fruity notes (orange, peach) and by a light balsamic feel. Not especially deep or intense but still nice overall. Taste is medum to high sweet and medium bitter. Slightly on the sweet side in the mouth, with a balanced finish. Taste notes as per aroma, plus a bit of earthiness in finish and aftertaste. Again ok, though not irreproachably clean. Medium bodied with average to high carbonation. An averagely good beer.

2018 bottle. A bit of gushing. Pours a hazy darkish red, with a mid-sized, large-bubbled white-pinkish head that recedes quite quickly, still leaving nice lacing. A soft, sweet aroma shows a dough-like base, with a light vinous (young red wine) character. Fruity notes of currant and similar wild fruits. Taste notes follow the aroma. A soft, sweet base, a very light sour component, a sweet (but not too sweet) finish and aftertaste. Not much going on in terms of complexity, but overall clean and well balanced. Medium bodied with average carbonation, semi-soft mouthfeel. Definitely ok and enjoyable, just not too interesting.

From a bottle brewed in 2014. Pours a murky brown with a tan head. Aromas is a bit like a Flanders red, but more oaky. Flavors are slightly tart and moderately sweet caramel and dark cherries.
