33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours hazy opaque, dark gold, with no foam. Aroma is nicely smoked. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderate in sweetness, with the smokey feeling dominating. A little sour in the background. Final is kind of short.

From a bottle brewed in 2014. Pours a murky brown with a tan head. Aromas is a bit like a Flanders red, but more oaky. Flavors are slightly tart and moderately sweet caramel and dark cherries.

Pours a hazy, very light orange, with a large-bubbled white head that recedes pretty quickly and leaves just a few hints of lacing. Nice aroma shows a soft cereal base, flowery notes and maybe a hint of honey sweetness. Quite distinctive sourness, with strong funky/rustic notes (salami peel most prominent) and lighter lactic notes. Taste is rich too: cereal malts base, flowery notes, citric notes (cedar most noticeable). Sourness is again fairly distinctive, with lactic and funky/rustic notes as per aroma (now more 50%/50%). Overall, half sweet and half sour in both taste and aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with quite light carbonation, in an overall easy mouthfeel. Fragrant and tasty but not that refined (notes are all there but a bit confused/not distinct). Would otherwise have been a really excellent sour. Still, a satisfying experience.

Pours a pretty clear intense red, with a greyish small head that shows good enough retention and not much lacing. Nice but not very intense aroma with a bit of warming feel: caramel, a bit of honey and red fruitiness, plus perhaps a slight chestnut note. Taste is medium to high in sweetness and medium bitter with an overall sweetish edge in both taste and aftertaste. Still very nicely balanced. Sadly, as for the aroma, the taste notes were not very intense or defined. Caramel and slight honey malts, red fruitiness, a background earthy/bitter edge to bring balance. Light warming/alcohol feel throughout. Medium to dense in body with low to medium carbonation, resulting in a semi-full mouthfeel. The beer was overall enjoyable and interesting enough but it felt kind of muted down. Possibly a not too lucky bottle.

Pours slightly darker than golden, almost clear. Very little head forms, even if pouring hard, and it quickly disappears. Average intensity in the aroma: white bread/cereal base, light honey notes, possibily a hint of chamomile, fruity hints (i think i'm getting peach and pear) and light grassy notes. Taste notes as per aroma, but all kind of thin and watered down in an empty mouthfeel. Sweetish and slightly sticky finish and aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with low carbonation, definitely too low for the style as the absence of head suggested. Feels too thin. Quite a pity, if not for that carbonation issue, i guess the beer would've been fine. Even the slightly sticky finish may have to do with that. However, the beer was still enjoyable enough to get through the end.

Taster
