Bottle at home. It pours a dark brown color with a slowly building light brown head. The aroma has strong dark chocolate and walnut brownies. Nice bourbon notes as well. The flavor is semi-sweet with more bourbon, chocolate and nuts. Very well balanced. Rich flavors, but really not all that sweet. Smooth on the palate. A top notch BA stout. I’m gonna try and pick up more of this.

On tap at Pacific Standard. It pours a very dark brown color with a creamy brown head. The aroma has strong pumpkin spices with nutmeg, cinnamon and dark chocolate. the flavor has good levels of cinnamon bark and dark chocolate. Very rich on the palate, which is the only way these pumpkin beers taste any good. The rich chocolate with the spice make for a satisfying experience. A good one.

On tap at the Pacific Standard. It pours black with a light brown head. The aroma has heavily roasted malt with some dark chocolate, smoke with light notes of hot peppers. The flavor is smoky with dark chocolate and a little chipotle-like burn. Pretty rich on the palate with heavy roast but not much bitterness. Good levels of chile heat instead. Mild acidity on the palate form the dark roasted malt. Decent.

On tap at the Pacific Standard Taproom. It pours a clear pale golden color with a creamy off white head. The aroma has bright notes of blueberry, tropical fruit, orange and grapefruit. Maybe a little mixed berry. Sweet and hoppy. The flavor is the same. Light honey and toasted malt with big blueberry, grapefruit, orange with a little pine. Light to medium floral/piney bitterness. The body is a little on the heavy and sweet side, but not overly crystal malt laden. Good overall.

This porter without the spice would be nice. The spice is 7/10 strong, which I happen to enjoy in a beer. I think the habanero stands out most of all the flavours. Brennan's in Berkeley ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City. Pours a clear, pale yellow. Mouthfeel is very thin. Not much grass and wet hop aspects, although as it warmed it became a little piney and resinous.
