From a bomber purchased at the brewery. Pors a hazy amber with an ecru head. Nutty aroma. Flavors of grains, moderately sweet, with a bitter finish.

Bomber from CRAFT Beer & Wine in Alameda, CA. Pours dark brown with a nice very dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, treacle, dark fruits and bourbon. Med ++ body. Flavor is whiskey (bourbon - must have been fairly fresh barrel), chocolate, treacle, dark fruits (more raisin/date than fig). Not very dry and whiskey/chocolate bitter. Heat not an issue for me. Delicious stuff.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a murky col brown with a tan head. Aroma of coffee. Flavors are bitter roast coffee and cocoa.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aromas of tropical fruit and pine. Flavors are moderate bitter with a touch of sweetness. Lingering bitter finish.

Capped 750 from CRAFT Beer & Wine in Alameda, CA. Pours light rosé with a creamy white head. Aroma is lightly sour cherry over somewhat roasty malt. More fruit than grain. Med body or so. Flavor is definitely sour cherry with supportive malt and oak astringency. Quite dry. Not bitter, but sour fights the malt nicely. Well maybe a bit of cherry bitter. I think it hits the style, but the Belgians might have gone for more of a sour bit. Good stuff in any event.
