Description
With the intention of providing our customers with greater choice and quality artisan beers, we founded the Cotton Ball Brewing Company in late 2013.
The brewery consists of a five barrel brew house, four 800 litre ale fermenters, four 800 litre conical conditioning tanks and two 800 litre bottling/kegging tanks to date. Recently added was an automated bottling line, allowing us to beautifully bottle our craft beers and distribute them across the country to off licences and shops near you.

Keg @ Abbot’s Ale House [130416]
Black, ruby edges, dense off white head
Aroma - slightly unusual grassy hop nose, very slight zest peel
Taste of soft roasted malts and that bit of grassy hop
Palate - very soft nitro carb, medium body. Light sweet, soft bitter. Finish of slightly herbal nettles, dab of zest.
Overall - Interesting stout, bit of an unusual take on the standard Irish dry stout

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Clear golden. Aroma of graininess, malt, stale hops. Flavor has sweetish dusty malt, caramel, bitterish stale hops, and a light citric note. Medium-bodied.

Kerry Lane Pale Ale from Cotton Ball Brewing Company

Bottle from McHughs. Clean Amber with a thin head. Aroma is herb and pine. Flavour is earth and bread, sticky bitterness on the finish.

Bottle. Hazy orange Amber with no real head, looks a bit like Lucozade. Aroma is yeast. Flavour is sour bitter, very much the front of the mouth, hard to describe, nearly all palate based, fruity dry bitter finish.

Indian Summer Beer from Cotton Ball Brewing Company

Bottle from McHughs. Deep Amber with a thin head. Aroma is bready malt. Sweet bread, a little yeast on a dry mouth watering bitterness. Finish is dry sweet, a little marmalade.

Draught at The Bierhaus Cork. Perfect looking stout, jet black with a rock solid head. Aroma is sweet, a bit like Murphy’s. Flavour is creamy toasted malt, dry burnt background, creamy coffee smoke on the lips. Really liked this, almost as much as the guy.
