Description
In 1992, Paul Theakston took a daring leap into the unknown. As a fifth generation brewer of his family company, he chose to leave T&R Theakstons following its sale to a national brewery. Instead, he chose to champion independent brewing in Yorkshire and built his own brewery in the very same town, Masham. The brewhouse contains a mixture of tradition and innovation, using the Yorkshire Square Fermentation system which we hold dearly. Our original brewhouse was built from reclaimed equipment which we still use to this day.

An orange beer with very little head. It has a very nice fruity aroma of orange. It is slightly bitter with hints of orange. A very refreshing beer - that I've like to have again.

I’d had this at the Philharmonic in Liverpool and even the pub couldn’t save it. This re-rate in Edinburgh was more successful. Golden-amber. Nice spicy aroma. The character is mellow, lightly spicy, lightly caramelly. Good, with a subtle complexity.

Sampled cask conditioned at Shepherd's Inn, Melmerby, Cumbria.
Amber coloured. Light and fruity. Medium bitterness. Solid, but one-dimensional.

Copper-coloured, rocky head. Very hoppy. CAUTION: If you drink too many of these you might get a Silly Walk!

Very earthy, with a complex maltiness and the delicious yeastiness derived from the use of Yorkshire Squares.
