(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Citrus-fruity hoppy aroma with mildly yeasty spicy notes. Slightly bitter flavour with a tinge of malty sweetness, almost medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Fruit-accented taste with notes of citrus and apricot, slightly sugary malt from behind; sweet-bitter and fruity finish with a touch of yeasty spice. Likeable. 19.I.13

Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, small and stable off-white head, caramelly-fruity nose, some forgotten hops underneath, raisins with vinous flavours, too; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, quite soft; alcoholic traces in the sherry-like, caramelly, fruity and vinous finish. a nice brew, but not a Saison...

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Clear, amber colour with a reddish hue. Small, off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts and yeasts, only a hint of hops. Some alcohol. Medium sweet taste. Medium body, soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with caramel malts, spices and an alcohol note. Pleasent but lacks bitterness to be a really good saison.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange to amber with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty and caramelish. Bitter, toffee and caramelish. Bitter and light fruity. Smooth caramelish finish.

Bottled. A red beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and straw, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Slightly estery nose, Belgian yeast. Medium body, lowish carbonation, sweet caramel and some light phenols. Absolutely no bitterness. A decent Belgian Ale, but has absolutely nothing to do with a Saison. 250113

Bottle (Gusher). Pours with a murky golden hued body. Large head but pour retention. Aromas are tart, leather, herbal, unripe plum, caramel, apple, pear, and fruit rollups. Flavors are of pear juice, odd grainy quality, esters, baby food. Relatively unappealing. Fuller carbonation. Not really repeatable.

33 cl. bottle sample @ 18th Christmasbeer festival in Essen. Quite a similar profile to the their Houblon beer which I tried before, I am thinking infection, I know that it is not a typical infection taste etc. & others said that they didn’t feel this way but it just feels a bit too specific to be the cause of similar yeast etc. unless if they have some pretty weird yeast. Very hazy muddy yellow brown with a white head. Smell is sweet fruity herbs, sweet aspirin, wet hops, herbs & some vegetables. Taste is sweet oranges blended with old school aspirin, vegetables, sour child vitamins, herbs, asparagus (what I imagine cooked asparagus to taste like, I have never had them :), bitter herbs & spices. Murky body & lower carb. Oddly enough I am kind of into this maybe because it was just so different & a breather?
