Draft at the 2014 Brugge Beer Festival. The name gives the colour away, it’s blonde. It looked a bit thin actually, but it made up for it’s weak colouring by having a great aroma and taste. The nose was peppery with coriander type aromas along with a general herbal/spice smell. I liked the semi-sweet front to the flavour, an exotic fruit feel really: then it calms down a little and bittering hops arrive to balance the sweetness. Different and interesting. Others will find differing flavours I’m sure, it is worth finding.

330ml bottle. Black colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Fruity, dark malty aroma, hints of raspberry and other red berries, dark chocolate, a touch of mocha. Taste is dry dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, mocha, hints of red berries and their parings, a touch of chalk and cardboard in the finish; lively carbonation.

Draft @ BAB’14. Apparently the regular Triple brewed with Sorachi, Simcoe and Citra.

Draught Almost no head, greenish coloured straw-yellow beer. Perfumed, bathroom herbs, banana and unripe banana, good pale malts, inviting. Smells peculiarily similar to German Kellerbier! Sweet-malty, maltbomb. Absolutely German in character, with some additional exotic hops, and almondy features. Light bodied, well-carbonated; long-lasting flavours. Absolutely worth trying - a taste I certainly didn’t expect from Wallonia!

1/II/14 - on tap @ Brugs Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2014-146) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!

Little cloudy dark yellow beer, creamy big off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit funky, sweaty feet, some cheese, sweet ripe apples, apple candy. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, hay, raw grains, overripe banana. Aftertaste: sugary, very yeasty, unpleasant bitterness, banana peel, bit metallic. This is no success... I'm really confused as to which beer JorisPPattyn had :p

Taste: sourish start, lemony, citrus, grassy bitterness, bit floral, bitter hops. Aftertaste: little sour, lemony, citrus, little fruity. Actually, this is a pretty good beer! Definitely one of the better of Authentique.

Fancy schmancy 750 ml bottle. Pours hazy deep ruby amber color, thick beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of sweet plums, light funk. Taste is sweet figgy plums and prunes, bitter dry finish. A bit odd.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Dusty and sweaty aroma, traces of biscuity malt and hints of grassy hops, also a subtle fruity touch. Mildly sour and tart flavour, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Juicy malty, more tha subtle fruity taste with shy grainy spots; more sour than sweet, mouldy fruity and delicately grassy finish. They better stick to their Ales. 05.X.13
