On tap @ Spirits&Beer 2015. Malty dry creamy beginning. Intense dry malty, very fresh with great hazelnuts hints. Milk chocolate, fresh. Great highly drinkable. Nuts and chocolate in the aftertaste with a moderate bitterness Great!

Sample during the 10th Annual Day Before Labor Day Party on 09/06/2015. Cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Smoky aroma with fruit and malt notes. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, fruit and spice. The finish is smoky with a burnt malt and fruit aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

4oz at Beer Junction. I can see the elderberry in the color, looks like a brown beer mixed with some blue/purple juice. Interesting mix for a beer, its like tart juice and big brown ale. Fruit, earth, tart, brown ale with tart elderberries simple, fun, ok.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small pink head. Nose brings lots of red grape skins, a very dusty quality and some alcohol. Flavour is very unusual, with dusty dry red grape skins and some strange herbal notes. This is bizarre. Not really digging this, though I appreciate the uniqueness.

500ml bottle from Cornelius. Pours murky brown with a short-lived white head. Aromas of coffee, banana, phenols, almost peaty. Candi sugar and spice behind it all. Taste is fennel, spice, sweet banana. Medicinal, Swarfega in fact. Weird. Light sweet finish.

Tap. Pours clear bubbly golden, medium white head, a bit fizzy, some lacing. Aroma is sea air, smoked hard wood, citrus perks, orange. Flavor had just enough sweetness to make the smoke tend to meat, light tart, prominent salt. Light body. Eh.
