Description
On a small abandoned farm back in 2002 William Frank and Else Birk started a small brew house focusing on quality and good craftsmanship. The brewery was not far from where the Grauballe man (a bog body that was uncovered in 1952 from a peat bog) was found - hence the name Grauballe Bryghus.

Grauballe Bryghus was in these premises until the year 2013. By then it had grown so big that it was time to move to larger premises where it is today.

Draught. Dark orange colour, stable white head. Hoppy aroma. Flavour is also aroma-hoppy. Not too powerful though, balanced OK by maltiness. Could have been a little more flavourful.

(On tap) Hazy, dark amber with a small, creamy, off-white head leaving some pretty lacework. Fat, hoppy aroma with a touch of caramel. Sweetish malt hiding underneath a marked and very aromatic bitterness. 171005

Golden with a good white head. Honey and malt aromas. The flavour is sweet with distinct hop notes, perhaps a bit nutty too.

Bottle. Golden/orange color. White head. Perfumed and fruity smell. Sorry to say I didn’t recognize the honey, but it was the last beer this evening, so I guess that’s why. Not much written down about the taste either, other than it was a nice, quite fruity beer with a balanced bitterness to the end. Guess I have to re-rate this one day. (050923)
