Description
On a small abandoned farm back in 2002 William Frank and Else Birk started a small brew house focusing on quality and good craftsmanship. The brewery was not far from where the Grauballe man (a bog body that was uncovered in 1952 from a peat bog) was found - hence the name Grauballe Bryghus.
Grauballe Bryghus was in these premises until the year 2013. By then it had grown so big that it was time to move to larger premises where it is today.

Bottle. Creamy off-white excellent mostly lasting head. Brown amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Strong chocolate notes. Moderate sweet and bitter flavor. Nice chocolate notes. Moderate bitter long finish. Creamy palate. A little more power and this wood be a world class beer. Now its "only" fantastic.

bbf 23.5.2010, recently brewed clody brown, thick smooth light brown head, nice lacings. aroma is sweet, hoppy, faint dark fruits, faint raisins, a little caramel. well blended smooth aroma. flavor is dark roasted caramel, english licorice, spices. a bit unbalanced, licorice dominates, spices come in second, only then caramel and malty notes. However quite decent cristmas spicy beer. palate is smooth and soft
