Description
On a small abandoned farm back in 2002 William Frank and Else Birk started a small brew house focusing on quality and good craftsmanship. The brewery was not far from where the Grauballe man (a bog body that was uncovered in 1952 from a peat bog) was found - hence the name Grauballe Bryghus.

Grauballe Bryghus was in these premises until the year 2013. By then it had grown so big that it was time to move to larger premises where it is today.

Bottle. An almost clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Sweetish nose with some citrusy sourness. Malty and sweetish in the mouth, a bit too sweet maybe, with some dried fruits and citrus. Fizzy, medium-bodied mouthfeel. The finish is sweet. A rather boring one, lacking on body and flavor to make it interesting. 090720

(Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, on 2009-09-15) Dirty brown and cloudy. Hardly any head. Malts and yeast in aroma. Full bodied and dry palate with little carbonation. Malts, hops, yeast, berries, bitterness, molasses and salt water in taste. Malty and bitter aftertaste. Like a home brew - something wrong with this batch or keg perhaps.

Tnx Timo A.. Hazy brown color, small steady off-white head. Toffeish, rye malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramelly, toffeish, medicinal, grass. Quite like typical Danish brown ale.
