Cask at the Finborough Arms, 17/01/15. Very lightly hazed golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is light citric peel, melon, straw, lemon rind, pale malt. Taste comprises much the same, grassy, citric peel, lemon, tangerine. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok golden blonde, wouldn’t have this down as a SIPA, lacks hop presence.

Cask at the Finborough Arms, West Brompton, 17/01/15. Murky brown toliet water in appearance, moderate off white covering. Nose is pine, toasty malt, dark fruit rinds, caramel. Taste comprises pine, toffee, light charr, earthy, malt, spice, bitter orange. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok but lower end of this style spectrum.

Cask at the finborough arms. Clear reddy amber aroma is dirty earthy grains, tart, strawberry, berry. Flavour is composed of unrefined sugars, sweet malts, tart Berry. Palate is quite sweet, semi tart, moderate tart, apricot. Bit rough round the edges.

Cask at the finborough arms. Murky dark brown reddy coloured pour with a thin greyish head. Aroma is resinous pine, nuuty, choc, berry, strawberry. Flavour is tangy resin, piney, some sweet unrefined sugars, brown malts, firm piney hops. Palate is tart, semi sweet, moderate carbonations. assertive lingering hop. .

Cask at the finborough arms. Hazed golden straw coloured pour with a lasting loose speckled head. Aroma is tart apricot, citrus, earthy citrus, slight sharp note. Flavour is composed of tart citrus, apricot, grainy, straw, but harsh. Palate is grainy, medium light, bit tart. Some berry. Assertive lingering hop bitterness.

Cask at the finborough arms. Clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is subdued lemon citrus, pollen, sweet malts, grainy. Flavour is semi sweet base grains, light honey, earthy citrus, little floral and lavender notes. Palate is semi sweet, with moderate carbonation. Very good condition. Little lingering earthy hedgerow hop bitterness. Decent drop

Cask at the finborough arms. Pale yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting loose speckled head. Aroma is wheat grains, berry, light earthy citrus notes, blackberry. Flavour is grainy wheat, base malts, earthy citrus, hedgerow hops, berry. Little rough round the edges but the balance is good, palate is medium light, grainy, good cask condition. Decent authentic tasting pale ale.
