473mL can. Pours deep yellow with foamy white head. Aroma has floral and pine hops and light biscuit malts. Flavour also has pine and floral hops at the fore with light malt notes and good level of hoppiness. Well-crafted and very enjoyable.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of chocolate and sugar with a little roasted malts. Flavors of plastic, green coconut, stale coffee, sugar, and roasted malts. Warm finish with roasted malts predominating. Lots of different ingredients with great potential, but not coming together for me.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals bright piney hops, gentle resins, and a thin biscuity malt base. Flavour is robust, with a big piney hop character, gentle resins, a touch of grapefruit zest, and crisp biscuity malt. That piney hop punch is extremely tasteful. Fiulijn has just had his palate ruined by shitty chalky hazies — this is excellent.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy yellow with a creamy head. Pine, tangerine, grapefruit, resin, candy sugar, stone fruits. Crisp hoppy bitterness, fruity sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, hoppy zesty resinous bittersweet finish. Good hoppy crisp IPL.

Can from the brewery
Blond colour, just slightly hazy. The aroma is mildly piney, but also fruity. Good body, lean mouthfeel; the malt base is not sticky; the hopping is bold, even too much, it gives vegetable bitterness, chicory, harsh resins, and the finish is rather unpleasant.

473mL can, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out earthy coffee, a hint of coconut, and vanilla. Flavour reveals plenty of roasted coffee upfront, accentuated by vanilla bean and, to a lesser extent, some coconut. Lots of coffee coming through on the finish, with medium-high sweetness, and just subtle accentuation from the vanilla and coconut. Hearty palate. I was turned off by the beer name, but this is really just a solid imperial coffee stout.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma is grainy, grassy, floral and a bit skunky. Pours clear golden color with thin creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy and citrusy, following is grassy, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Not enough steam power added…

Kalea-Bieradventskalender 04.12.2023 (Deutschland-Version) Steamworks 🇨🇦 liefert uns einen internationalen Beitrag im Stile eines India Pale Lagers, das ich in dieser Form nich nicht kannte: Es ist ein klassisches, spritziges 💦 Lager, das wie ein IPA mit extra Aromahopfen verfeinert, der es bitterer, aber auch aromatisch verspielter macht. So kommt ein ordentlicher Schuss Grasigkeit und eine Geschmackstiefe, die man nicht so schnell findet. Hat mir wirklich sehr gut gefallen.

Poured from 355mL can (thanks fiulijn). Clear gold with white head. Floral and citrus hops with a bit of resin on the finish, mild biscuit malt. Decent, but the floral notes are verging on a bit too perfumey.
