Bottle. A clear, well carbonated beer with a creamy beige head. Lots of yeast in the aroma, with caramel, dried fruits and a vague hint of licorice. It's medium bodied, smoothly carbonated and semi-dry. Yeast, caramel, dried fruits, some licorice and a light bitterness in the flavor. Long yeasty finish. Way, way too yeasty. 171111

Bottle from Gulating, Brennåsen. Deep brown body with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is malty with chocolate. Flavor is balanced sweet malty with chocolate, hint of toast and dry fruit. Moderate bitterness. Medium, quite balanced body with a decent aftertaste. Nothing very exiting going on here, but definitively a decent made, tasty and smooth brown ale at 4,5% that probably should go rather fine together with most Christmas food or just as a uncomplicated easy drinkable malt based beer.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden colored beer with a firm, dense, finger-thick light beige head. Piney, grassy and lighlty resiny aroma with a light bready touch. Some yeast in the aroma, with a bready back and grassy, resiny hops up front. It's medium bodied and smooth on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Fruity, citrusy flavor with a bready backdrop and a fruity, citrusy finish. Wouldn't mind more bitterness all the way. A rather subtle beer, lacking the hop punch I'd expect judging from name. 170831

Bottle. A hazy orange colored beer with a finger thick white head leaving some curtains. Peach, orange, yeast and some pale malts in the aroma. It’s medium bodied and rather effervescent, semi sweet and with a decent bitterness. Orange, peaches, some grass and pale malts and a good dash of yeast in the flavor. Fruity finish. Way too yeah this one, else it’s quite nice. 170826

Bottle from Gulating Brennåsen. Hazy orange golden with a fair white head. A bit mild aroma of citric fruit with a hint of pale malt and yeast. Flavor is sweet pale malt, some citric fruit in general and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Drinkable but feels to week for a session IPA, probably closer to an APA at the best.
