On 23rd Jan 2019 I decided to change all my 34 'ticks' for no-beers into rates. Every 'tick' scored a '3', this will not change as they become 'rates'. My 'ticks' were Ciders, Meads, Perrys and Sake. This is a mead!

Bottle sampled at The Vanguard at 1000 Trades, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of dry hopping upfront with wildflower mead. Flavour is along the same lines, with wildflower honey and wonderfully integrated dry hopping. Complex and layered for such a light mead. Very good.

330ml bottle from New Forest stall at Borough Market, London. Pours a hazy yellow gold colour with a large frothy white head that dissipates away and mellow fruit & honey aroma. Taste is sweetish, honey followed by tart, gooseberry, citrus zest, fruity. Smooth & creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying finish. Nicely drinkable.

Keg at Gosnells. It pours hazy greenish - yellow with a small white head. The aroma is very, earthy, umami, big liquorice character, floral and savoury. The taste is sweet tangy honey upfront, honeycomb, cakey, then out of nowhere appears some saltiness, chewy, liquorice and umami with a tangy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not sold on the balance, or lack of. Weird.

Keg at the Euston tap. A bright pink purple coloured pour with a a fading pink head. Aroma is slightly tangy, sweet, earthy, floral, petals. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, clean honey, plum, red berry, floral. Light tangy finish. Palate is medium sweet, rounded, sticky lowish carbonation. Not bad.
