Bottled (BB 12/2009, Vasa session). Very dark ruby brown color, big creamy espresso head. Sweet toffeish aroma with vanilla and dark sugar. Quite full-bodied. Sweetish caramelly flavor. Some notes of whiskey, woody oak, nuts. Alcoholic-bitterish finish. Nothing special, but interesting enough with its bourbon flavors.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Very deep amber colour, bi beigeish brown head. Aroma is vanilla, some mild whisky, caramel malts as well as some roasted notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some leather, smoke, vanilla and quite wooden in the finish. Aftertaste is coffee and roasted malts.

Bottle, 7.5%. Paint aroma. Black colour, seems unclear. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is vinous, turning nicely roasted and malty. Creamy finish. Has a little paint in the flavour as well, but it is overpowered by other, better flavours. Smells bad, tastes OK. 4 3 7 3 16

Bottle, 7.5%. Vinous aroma, milk chocolate. Clear very dark brown colour. Small stable creamy light brown head. The flavour starts off vinous and turns chocolatey. Tastes a lot like a well-lagered beer, but it must be the whiskey. Flavourful, but mild and well-balanced. Low carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. 6 3 7 3 16

Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen
Almost black color. Mild aroma, light Danish yeast, very light smoke. It has a medium mouthfeel, with some caramel and chocolate flavor, and some puckery sourness; from the aroma to the flavor it’s evident that this beer is problematic. Not good.
