Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - dark reddish brown pour with a tan head. Aroma and taste is roasted malty, coffee, chocolate, some dark dried fruit, some light spices.

On tap at Søgaards, as Stonehenge. A clear one, amber in color and with a dense two finger light beige head. Curtains. The aroma is quite hoppy, with a sugary maltyness. Pine cones, citrus and sugary sweetness. It’s a tad sweet on the palate, but with enough bitterness to deal with it. Sweet oranges, pine cones and candy in the flavor, lasting for a good while. Well, it’s far from bad, very far actually, but I find it way too sugary. 150401

Medium offwhite head. Brilliant clear brown body with carbonation. Fruity spicy herbal aroma with seeds of paradise notes. Clear and clean. Sweet fruity seeds of paradise taste with strawberry and clove notes. Fullish body. Sharpish, slightly hot mouthfeel. Dryish coriander, cloves and fruit aftertaste with herbal banana and licorice notes. Very nice and far too drinkable for 10.5%. (0.5l bottle, from Salling, Aalborg.)

Big offwhite head. Clear deep dark red body. Faint caramelly aroma. Dry-acidic citric spicy taste is kind of flat. Mid-to-light body. Fizzy mouthfeel. Ends in acidic wooden fruity flavour. Yuck. Infected. (0.5l bottle, from Føtex, Frederikshavn.)

Small pale brown head. Fruity malty syrupy aroma, quite faint, with roasty alcoholic notes. Sweet roasty malty syrupy taste with vanilla and chocolate notes. Full-bodied. Slightly sharp mouthfeel. Dryish alcoholic vanilla aftertaste with roasty wild berry notes. Interesting and complex, as well as surprisingly subtle. (0.5l bottle, from Salling, Aalborg.)

On tap at the brewpub. A hazy amber colored beer with a dense, light beige head of fingerthick size. Some lacings. The aroma has lots of piney, resiny hops with a touch of grapefruit. Lightly roasted malts and caramel too. Licorice notes in the far back. It is medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Roasted malts, some licorice and caramel and with a fine bitterness and some pine cones and grapefruit. Lasting finish. Quite nice this one, dangerously easy drinkable too. 150301

On tap at the brewpub. A clear dark brown beer with a small, light beige head. The aroma is quite roasted, with a lot of licorice. Some dried fruits too. It is very soft on the palate, too soft I think, with a medium body fullness. Dryish. Prunes, raisins, licorice and a roasted note in the flavor. Hints of rye. Pleasant bitterness too. Lasting finish with roasted malts and dried fruits. A decent one, with too little carbonation. 150301

On tap at the brewpub. It pours an almost clear one, pale golden in color, with a dense, white head. Curtains. Citrusy, piney nose with pale malts and butterscotch. It is quite bitter in the mouth, with butterscotchy malts, pine cones and grass. Rather thin on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Quite dry. Lasting bitter finish with some butterscotch and a metallic touch. Pity about the diacetyl, else it is a fine brew, although not very kölsch-ish. 150301
