Ja, auch in Ungarn versucht man sich an "kreativen" Bierstilen. Bei einem wein-lastigen Land (was meist eine weniger ausgeprägte Bierkultur hat) wie Ungarn bin ich fast froh, dass es sich um eine Industrie-Brauerei handelt, die ein IPA auf den Markt wirft. Als ich die 0,5l-Dose in einem Supermarkt fand, habe ich mir nicht viel erwartet und als die trübe, schaumarme Flüssigkeit im Glas war, wollte ich es fast schon nicht trinken. Aber das Bier ist wirklich gut. Es ist nicht so schwer und aromenreich wie viele "echte" Craftbiere, aber überzeugt durch eine hopfige Fruchtigkeit. Ein unkompliziertes Bier, welches sich auch zum Essen genießen lässt.

Ein Bier, das es schon läger gibt und in fast jedem ungarischen Supermarkt erhältlich ist. Ich habe es unter dem Namen "Fekete Démon" getrunken. Der "Schwarze Dämon" ist angenehm malzig frisch, ohne zu süß zu sein. Ein solides Bier für den Feierabend. Es kann aromenmäßig sicher nicht gegen ein feines Black IPA oder Stout antreten, aber allein die Beliebtheit zeigt, dass es gut trinkbar ist.

Can from random Eastern European shop in Leicester. Bright yellow, clear, with a quickly dissipating white head. Hardly any smell, a bit of malty grain. Sweet taste, really malty for a lager, and heavy on the vegetal notes. High carbonation. Some acidity in the aftertaste. Not terrible but close enough.

Bottle. Hazy orange brown color with huge long lasting white head. Light aroma of citrus, malt. Taste, starts malty, followed by light citrus hops with oranges, tangerines, light zest. Medium long fruity, light citrus hoppy finish. Not bad.
