Bottled (BB 11/2008)
Golden color, small white head. Light aroma of sweet corn. Sweet corn-malty with low bitterness. Sweetish aftertaste. Hops have been forgotten from this pils.

Can (BB 06/2009)
Dark ruby color, small beige head. Caramelly, toasted brown sugar nose. Starts kind of caramelly and coffeish, but flavors fade away quite quickly. Light toasted aftertaste. Coca Cola -carbonation. Nice try from Hungarian brewery to brew drinkable dunkel.

0.5l can courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!), shared with heavy Poured a nice golden body with a medium sized thick white head that went away at a medium pace. The nose kinda surprised me... some grain surrounded by weak Saaz... expected a bigger hop presence after the label proudly proclaiming that it contained extra Saaz or something. The taste isn’t far off too. It’s quite nice, mind you, possibly the best pale lager coming from the big Hungarian breweries, but it’s also dominated by a nice sweet grainy maltiness. Yeah, there’s some nice herbal hopiness but it’s not pronounced. The hop does show up in the aftertaste though. All in all, damn nice for Hungary.

0.5l can from a little store on the Jokai utca in Budapest Poured a pale golden-yellow colour with a thick white head that, in my case, didn’t go away all that fast. Dusty hoppy nose. That’s it. The taste is a bit too light for its own good but remarkably nice. Light breadiness and a nice, light agrumey (orange I guess) hopiness. With more body this would be quite good, but this way it’s "only" the best low class (costing a little more than 100 Forints) Hungarian beer that I’ve had so far, beating most "ordinary" beers.

0.5 l can which was brought from Hungary by ogivlado and Doggythedog shared it with me so I thank them both a lot! Has golden body with medium-smaller head. Nice aroma, contrary to my expectations malt dominated, with some dust and harsh hops. Tasted pleasant as well, nicely balanced, although quite thin bodied as neither hops or malt profile is accented enough. Nice long, slightly sweetish finish helps rounding the beer nicely. Refreshment after those bad beers we had this evening.

0.5 l can Doggythedog lugged all the way from Budapest, so thanks a lot! This poured also golden body, very clear with just few small bubbles so its medium head went away fast. Sweet malty flower aroma, not too much in it, but ok. Flavor not bad either, but pretty watery. Pretty well balanced between its pale sweet malt and light bitter hops. Low carbonation, and as quite thin bodied, finish ended up to be very short and faint, almost non existent. Not bad, but I still get used to better, even for pale lagers.

0.5l can, purchased in a Match store in Budapest Poured a golden colour with a medium-big collapsing white head. Very fizzy at first. Some maltiness mingling with a herbal hopiness in the aroma. Gee, this actually smells like a proper beer. Sourish, simple hopiness shows up right at the beginning, with some nice sweet, somewhat woody maltiness lurking in the background. Some metal. Somewhat watery and quite dry in the end. Some stale maltiness with notes of alcohol also has a tendency to pop up unexpectedly. Biting mouthfeel. Odd. Loads of character compared to most other Hungarian beers I’ve had but not terribly exciting or pleasant.
