Tap @ Duque Brewpub, Lisbon. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light caramel and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 170718

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 24C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium aroma of yeast, alcohol (peppery, almost solventy). faint fruity esters and a mild malt sweetness. APPEARANCE: dark gold color and clear. medium-large ivory head, moussy, with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium yeast (uncooked bread), slight toasty and sweet malt. medium bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a biere de garde with excessive yeast presence and not much malt richness.

Medium-low sweet malt profile. APPERANCE: gold color and clear. large ivory head wuth medium-low retention. TASTE: medium-low cereal husk, yeast and esteres (lemon). slight acidic bite. medium bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with high carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: a blonde ale with distracting cereal husk and yeast aromas and flavors.
