9/9/11/9/10/10

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey, amber colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Zesty, citrusy, hoppy aroma, sweet-ish, minimally sugary, pale and caramel malty background, cautious hints of grapefruit peel, tangerine, blood orange. Taste is bitter, zesty, citrusy hoppy, hints of grapefruit peel, a touch of tangerine, blood orange, mandarine kernels, pale and caramel malty basis with little residual sweetness, a touch of cardboard; slightly papery overall. OIly texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Probably not the freshest example: bitter but not crisp hoppiness, a tad too light malty body - improvable.

Bottle: Golden, hazy, medium-sized white head, distinctive bitter-sweet herbal to lemony-hoppy nose, grainy traces underneath; moderate to robust bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and a bit fizzy; lingering, even a bit drier hoppy and mildly malty finish. More an IPL than an ordinary Helles, and .yes, good...
