Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured, a clear golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is malt, herbal, light citrus. The flavour is over moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, malt, earthy, herbal, floral, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On keg at Bread and Bitter, Nottingham - Cloudy yellow body, small head. Sweet citrus, lemon and grapefruit, a bit yeasty, very sweet.

Tap at the colemore. A jet black coloured pour with a a creamy mid tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, beetroot, earthy, hazelnut,, praline, meaty roast. Flavour is composed of beets, earthy roast, hazelnut praline, light tang, chalky, lingering earthy roast, umami. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, moderate carbonation, creamy. Mushrooms, earthy roast. Quite unique.

Draft at The Colmore, Birmingham. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting thin off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, big ube … biscuit caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, caramel, biscuit, tart plummy, dry, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Pure Philippines!

[33cl can from Beer52.] A cloudy orange amber pour with a fast fading white head; orange aroma; bitter orange taste at first, then sweeter and juicy for a short time; before a pithy bitter finish with lingering orange oil. Not bad, but let down by its appearance.

Draft at Sommar, Waterloo Street, Birmingham. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, stone fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, dry, light herbal, yeasty, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
