From a 500ml can on 26/4/2022 (12% abv, canned March 2022). Pours a clear deep golden approaching amber with a biggish head. Has a big aroma of resin, pine, menthol and spice. Starts with a big caramel malt and citrus fruit (orange, tangerine) sweetness which is countered by masses of resin, pine and grapefruit and assorted citrus zest. The mouthfeel is oily and syrupy, the carbonation softish. An insane, massive and impressive WC IPA - super intense and complex, almost dessertish up front but bitter as rusty nails at the back. Wow, a truly terrific sipper.

Can. Clear pale gold with a large white head that fades in time. Yup, lots of mandarins - soft juice and zesty oil. Straw and some grass underneath. Upon a taste the mandarin is less fruity and more liqueur-like (syrupy, caramelized, a bit boozy) and less dominant so that the dryish, slightly funky blonde underneath has more of a chance. Dry at the end with grassy and spicy bitterness. Interesting with some character and style as well as a finish that ties things together.

Can. Clear deep gold with a fading cm of white head. Lots of Chardonnay about the aroma with crackery dough that's mildly funky and light spices. Expected (and wanted) a softer texture but it's a little brusque with oak upfront with light bread, grapes and spices behind. Modest bitterness.

Can. Clear amber with a dense 2cm white head. that lasts well. Oozing aroma of grilled peach, buns, brooding pine-sap. More forthright taste is along those line with plenty of sweetness, fruit and a spicy resinous bitter finish. A swell of alcohol is there too towards the end. Good but heavy going.

Can. Very clear pale gold with a inch of white head. 3+ Aroma of lemon, crackers, spices. Hops appear to be Ahtanum & Loral and there's a thing that a few have tried to do - make it almost smell European but not quite. The taste has some berries too which blows that away, but it's firm crackery malt and a decent bitterness. I wouldn't have minded it being just a tad drier but this is pretty good.

(Can) Pours deep brown with big golden head. Chocolate and toffee in the aroma. Full bodied with mouth filling soft carbonation. Lovely rich complex taste. There’s a backbone of toffee sweetness. There’s apple or pear fruity tartness and banana ester notes at the start. Dark chocolate notes appear and stay around. There’s some nice hoppy and burnt sugar bitterness, and a hint of alcohol in the finish. Very enjoyable.

Can. Mid brown with a fat coat of beige head. 3- Aroma of mild roast, chocolate, chicory, vanilla, grass. Pretty light bodied. Balance really tells here: yes, there's chocolate and it's not a very substantial drop, but it's not very sweet so the modest roast is prominent and so is the grassy/ spicy bitterness. Plenty to like here & IIRC it was cheap as.

Can. Golden amber with a lasting 2cm white head and a little cloudiness. Aroma of pomelo, light biscuit, nectarine, some pine. Just firm enough bread and slightly biscuity malt to lend richness and support but pretty lean before less fruit than suggested by the aroma and a tad more pine and spice. It's moderately bitter at the end. I like that the hops are punchy but not individually identifiable. Another really good one from Pirate Life.

(Can) Pours black with tiny tan head. Nice aroma of dark roast malt, roast nuts. Medium body with plenty of fine carbonation. Unusual and excellent taste with play between sour and dark. The taste is predominantly sour, and in a very pleasant way. Transiently the foretaste starts with dark roast malt but is swiftly replaced with sour fruity flavours which persist through the palate. In the mid palate the dark roast notes return somewhat to provide a nice counterpoint to the sour fruit. There is a note of ash in the finish. Very unusual, very enjoyable.
