500 ml bottle - that attempts to look upper echelon but mainly falters - @ home. Pours opaque, touch fox brown, orange with a white head. Smell is tad bitter, floral, green banana, barely malt. Taste is bitter grains, floral, followed by a touch of banana, citrus, bitter floral, grains, herbal, unprocessed wheat, tad clove grains. Touch hazy wheat body. Bit wandering, certainly not top tier stuff but certainly quafable still.

Rich wood tone brown with soft carbonation and fast diminishing head. Flavor is initially bittersweet, but has overall watery texture, and dissipates in the mouth almost before you’ve swallowed. I was expecting a little bit better.

Bottle (from the great METRO Dortmund!): Clear, light amber coloured, quite stable smal off-white head, light herbal-hoppy nose over a delicate toasty background; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; traces of herbs and cough syrup in the lingering dry bitter finish. Not bad, but too tame...

Bottle. Clear amber with a medium white head. Light caramel aroma with a bit of a metallic base. Flavour is nutty caramel, with a musky malt dry finish

Seichter, hopfig-herber Beginn.

500ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with small to average, frothy, white head. Wheaty aroma with a touch of hay and citrus. Taste is minimally sweet wheaty, a minimal citrus touch, some dry hoppy notes in the finish; smooth palate with subtle carbonation. Hefeweizen with a slightly genuine "against the grain"-character.

(bottle, from my local METRO Cash&Carry market) Clear, orange-amber colour with a tanned mid-sized foamy head. Mildly toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, a nutty touch and citric hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, a bit slim bodied with a slightly prickly carbonation. Delicately toasty, cara-malty base with nutty accents and a rising citric hoppy touch towards the bitter-sweet and rounded slightly toast-malty finish with fruity hops, including notes of lemon and grapefruit. Mild and fruity Ale. The price of ~1,78€ /bottle is fair. 12.VII.12

Fass @ Random outdoor place near the Rothaus in Hamburg. Pours amber, no head. Notes of marzipan, caramel, chocolate and flowery hops. A hint of smoke. Unclean maltiness and a bit too carbonated. Overall: reminds me of a German Newcastle Brown Ale.
