At GBBF 2011. Clear gold. Lasting ivory head. I mean its a good beer. Good to look at good to drink good conditon. Its good i mean really good for a uk beer. Lovely sherberty hop. Excellent in fact qnd knocks a fair amount of the usa ipas here into the proverbial cocked hat. good.

Cask-conditioned at the Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage 30/7/2011. Ruby red with a slight, off-white head. Caramel, beer fruits and chocolate, leading to a dryish slight roasty finish. Fine.

Cask, handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon 29.07.11 Pours gold with very good clarity and a filmy white head, citrus aroma’s on the nose. Crisp in the mouth but with some sweetness, nicely citric, some sweetened grapefruit and lemon, it’s very tasty. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9

Cask @ Henglers Circus, JDW. Clear brown colour, off-white head. Nose is slight roasted malts, bit of chocolate, some fruits. Flavour is malty, roasty, chocolate and fruity. A bit watery. Slightly dry finish.

Cask at the Windsor Castle, Lye. Pours a very pale gold with a thin head. Aroma is some citrus and soft pale malts. Taste has light malts and floral notes. A bit bland and watery.

Cask at the Windsor Castle, Lye. This is indeed a different recipe to Jacks Ale. Pours a very light gold with a medium head. Aroma is tangy citrus, not over powering. Taste is tangy hops and citrus hops to start. The finish is full of the cites hops and strong and bitter. Packs a punch for the low abv.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours amber-brown with a foamy, off-white head. Slight roasty nose, mild cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, good roastiness, toasted sugar, burnt bread, mild wood. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry coffee grounds in the finish, some mocha. Surprisingly rich to finish. Some burnt wood. Nice. (3.7)

Light to medium sweet flavor with bread, bitter grain husks. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, some toasty grains, dried berries. Fine. (3.4)

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Deep bwonish pitch in colour with a purple glow and a thin cream head; aroma of red fruit and depply roasted malts; rather thinly bodied, tasting of light red fruits - raspberry and cherry; then a dry and smoky malt finish with a hint of chocolate. An rather good mild.
