Cask at the Windsor Castle, Lye. Pours amber with a small, tight head. Aroma is banana cake. Taste has some spice to start and a bready, fruitcake finish.

500ml bottle. Pours amber with a large, frothy head. Aroma is caramel sweetness, some bread and dried fruit underneath. Taste starts with vanilla ice cream and boiled sweets. Skunky caramel finish.

On tap, pours golden. Very bland on the nose and palate, with light toasted malts and biscuit - light bitterness on the finish. Not enjoyable.

On tap at The Drill Inn in Burntwood, pours clear golden copper. Aroma of butterscotch, bitter English hops and wood. Flavour matches this nose profile with a woody finish. Decent.

Cask at the Wellington, Sheffield on 18th February 2011. Copper with virtually no head. Fruity and a tad bitter, with mainly lemon citrus fruit. Slightly metallic taste, citric end.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 02/09/2010. Deep gold with a slight white head. Aroma of apricots, sweetish malts and floral hops. Flavour was also sweet, with some mandarins, marmalade and dryish finish. Fine.

Cask conditioned handpump Anchor Birmingham. Very dark brown colour. Thin beige head. Sour aroma. Bit sweet treacle in the mouth. Nice enough. Old ale. Choc and sour damson. Pretty decent.
