Description
Since changing our name from Topsham & Exminster Brewery in 2008, we have expanded ever more rapidly. We now have a fantastic site in Cowley Bridge Road where we have a retail shop and Tap-Room Bar. The Tap-Room is open every Thursday evening from 5pm to 11pm. Curry nights. Every last-Friday of the month the Tap room opens as normal, but we offer a curry, prepared and served by ARC Events. You don’t have to eat, just enjoy a drink, but the curries are great – takeaways available too.

On cask at the George and Dragon, Dartmouth. Appearance - deep amber to red. Thin white head. Nose - red fruit, caramel and bready. Taste - redcurrant, bread and caramel. Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and lightly roasty finish. Overall - I really like this. And it has elements of red or amber ale style too.

6th August 2022, wandering round the Tiverton Farmers Market and came across one of 'The Real Ale Girls' who had a stall selling bottles and a polly pin of this, sadly into plastic beakers. I had two pints while sat in the afternoon sun listening to a three piece band ruin a few songs (think Delila without Tom Jones/emotion/oomph/zest or zeal). Orange body, clean and clear, wispy white head. Light, subtle nose and taste to this 'cooking bitter', it's fairly weak ABV wise but it still has a bit of a bite and flavour, hence I had two pints.

500ml bottle from Sidmouth Unwrapped. Poured a clear dark copper colour with a short-lived, frothy off white head. The aroma is malt, toffee caramel, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, malt, burnt treacle, warm light boozy alcohol bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
