Gorgeous hazed IPA nose, full of berry, citrus, and peach. Taste never reaches such bright heights, though; moderate notes of lemon, grapefruit, chive, stone fruit, and pine, with a slight cracker malt backbone and a firm but manageable herbal bitterness on the finish. Points off for undertones of wet malt and a growing astringency as the pint empties. Hazy is as hazy does, I guess. Eh.

Taster at Hops + Crafts. Pours black, with a medium, beige head. Fantastic peanut butter aroma, milk chocolate, and syrup. Stupid sweet. Heavy body, with a smooth, velvety feel. This is a decadent and delicious stout. Nice.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish ruby red color with a small pink head that dissipates. Light sulphur nose with berry and cherry aromas. More fruit on the palate with none of the sulphur. Easy drinking, but lacking a little in body. Creamy texture, but wanted a bit more depth. Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Peach, stone fruit, dank aromas dominate with some light gooseberry as it warms. Smooth with abv hidden well on the palate. More citrus, stone fruit, peach, pineapple and dank notes on the palate. Easy drinking and quite good. On tap at Euston Tap 2. Black beer lasting tan head. Yes the milk lactose comes through with some salty peanut. Thick in the mouth. Not sure it's worth 4 quid a half but decent enough beer. Light hop finish.

Can from Bottles & Books, Bristol. Amber in colour, with a slight, white, head. Heavy, sweet, barley sugar character, with some grapefruit sharpness in the finish. A bit on the sweet side, but ok.

Can @ Gate House, Doncaster. Black with a small off-white head with a full peanut-butter aroma. There's plenty in its taste too, is smoothish and has a very easy drinking texture.

Odd, both in appearance and flavor. Pours like fizzy apple cider, coming out a murky tan-brown with a brief white head and no lacing. Maris Otters give an English nuttiness to the usual NEIPA juice, but there's not enough sweetness to develop the malts into a strong base for the overwhelming hops. Instead, it just comes off as weird, like taking a swig of a traditional brown ale that's been poured on top of a fair-to-middlin' hazy IPA. Doesn't mesh, leaving a dry, somewhat astringent finish accented by honeydew, grapefruit, and earth. Interesting idea, but the execution is shaky.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours clear fairly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, peanut butter, and mild fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, peanut butter, and mild fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this is a delicious flavored milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, peanut butter, and mild fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. This was not as explosively in-your-face on the PB as I expected, but still impressive. Very rich and well rounded malt complexity, nice PB/lactose presence, and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
