Deep, black body. Fizzy off-white head. Aroma of wood, cherry, port, ’flemish sour’, ... Quite flat beer. Modrately sour, lightly sweet. Nice fruitiness. A very good flemish sour. I’d suggest to work on the carbonation to get a better flemish sour. But apparently the Struise gus wanted it to be somewhat flat. I can live with that. :)

Offwhite huge fine-laced head. Dark red translucent body, with an opaque yeast column to one side. Dark licorice aroma with peppery notes and milky tobacco off taste. Spice notes as well. Taste is sweetish chocolate and tobacco. Light peppery and milky notes. Faintly dry aftertaste. (0.33l bottle.)

(Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy orangey brown with a dense, creamy and quite lasting, beige head. Soft, sherry like aroma. Full body with sweet caramel and some fruit. A quite warming alcohol. Nice all right but I had expected a much more subtle complexity. Probably will improve with aging. 241206

2006 bottle from santa - nearly black, stout-like pour, with a creamy tan head - the aroma is spicy up front, with notes of raisins and plums, and a slight vinous/red wine character - quite sweet and port-like, with some aromatic, floral flavors (lavender and rose mostly) - some brandy-like qualities - sweet but never cloying - warming alcohol that never becomes boozy - a really nice after dinner beverage.

Bottle 2005 @ Kerstbierfestival 2006 in Essen, BE. Hazy golden / yellow color with virtually none white head. Aroma is malty, fruity and alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a avarage duration. Finish is light alcoholic.

Deep brown color, white head. Standard. Cherry pie, apples, chocolate brownies, caramel, sour nose. Incredible The mouth starts slightly sour with excellent depth apples, brownies, cherry pie, bready, caramel, hazelnut notes. Outstanding Finishes sour with a distinctive nut brownies taste lingering in the mouth. Jesus himself may have created this beer for only a few selected privledged inhabitants in the beer world.

Hazy light blond color. Interesting spicy aroma, more sour (citrus fruits) than the average Triple; white beans. Powerful body, enough malt roundness, well balanced. Very good.

Draught @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Keg from 2004. Pours a slightly hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Sweet malty yeasty aroma. Malty spicy flavor with hints of yeast and citrus. Dry vanilla finish with some bitterness.

Chestnut brown with orange reflections, very stable cream-coloured beer. Earthy, leafy and some chocolate. Alcohol & higher alcohols, little point of acidity. After some time, an aroma of fresh herbs. Chocolate flavour, immediately taken over by a very rich malty, alcohol-dominated taste, sweet-sour alike with a complexity, very difficult to obtain, displaying a rich, velvety MF, and of course very full body. Only bad point is, warming up, the appearance of an excessive liquorice flavour. Very nice, and indeed not the same as the Pannepot (without Danish runes). But still excellent...
