Wasn't too crazy about the sweet hop notes in this. Was refreshing and tasty overall though!

Very cloudy copper and light bronze coloured body with a large, fairly soapy, almost pure white head that starts off at about six centimetres in height and fades to just about three after a few seconds. Aroma of very strong wheats with a lot of bready, yeast and crisp coriander seed notes along with a dash of curacao and some small citrus fruits, but this one definitely smells more yeastie than wheatie. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong wheat flavours show through with a great body and complexity with some citrus fruits and soft sugars (from caster sugar or honey) coming through the edges and finishing with a nice coriander seed freshness, a lot of bready and yeast notes, which only add to the complexity. Aftertaste is slightly dry, but very fruity and exceptionally wheatie with a good crisp finish from the grains and malt. Overall, a nice and refreshing german unfiltered wheat that hits the marks nicely in terms of the wheat, the dryness and especially the curacao and citrusey aspects while leaving a slightly sweet, but very clean finish. Great to sample and worth trying to find in the heat of Washington during the summertime. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Foggy Bottom (Eye Street NW), Washington, D.C. on 31-May-2021, Memorial Day, for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-August-2021.

Lots of strawberry, and some pricky pear. Dragonfruit is light as usual. Pinkish hazy pour with good head and lacing. Light tangy finish. Can shared at Gilly’s at Black Flag event.
