Sample from tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow to orange, little lacing head. Spiced wheat aroma with vague orange and banana notes. Light carbonated mouthfeel. Wheat and bubblegum flavoured. Wheaty finish. Not unpleasant but not really great either.

(Draught at Vesterbro Bryghus, Copenhagen, 20 May 2007) Reddish brown colour, hazy, with brief off-white head. Malty, grainy nose with notes of fodder and sweetish hints of mash. Malty, grainy, rather sweet taste with dried fruit. Rather sweet and sticky. I’m not really impressed.

Tap, Vesterbro. Muffy and dusty aroma, bad hop. Please let these guys stop brewing. It’s a disgrace for Danish microbrew. They only serve the beers for the unknowing tourists I guess.

Tap, Vesterbro Bryghus. Cloudy brown color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma is caramel malty, spicy, nutty, anis. Nutsweet taste, anis, some toffee, caramel malt again, not really bitter. Sitcky palate. I didn’t think it was that bad.

(On tap) Hazy, dark brown with a creamy, off-white head leaving laces. A vague whiff of butter in the nose together with some roasted malt. Medium body, some caramel and then rather burned, malty accents. Quite a bitter finish. Drinkable, but not exactly a refined brew. 140407
