Roasty and sour, some vinegar. It went off.

Malty and with a soft liquorice line; some sweetness. Pleasant but not enough bitter.

Dark amber color. Light malt, malt and vegetables aroma. Sweet; caramel, nuts. Average, for the common drinker. Thanks Jens (Ungstrup) for this bottle.

Dark burgundy brown. Rich malt aroma w/ almond cake, light molasses, raisin, plum, dark chocolate, peach. Sweet, silky malt flavours, vietnamese coffee, fruity (apricot, orange) notes. Quite sweet and sugary. Needs a bit more hop for balance, and maybe to be more thoroughly fermented, but a good example of the style nonetheless.

Dark brown. Medium head. Creamy, smooth liquorice-aroma. Sweet, roasty flavour. The alcohol gives it some bitterness in the finish. Very strong and very drinkable; might be dangerous ;o)

Bottled, Best Before 2004. Very dark brown, minimal head. Slight raisin and madeira up front. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Caramelly with signs of oxidation, but in a madeira-like very pleasant way. The initial sweetness has dried out and now it drinks very well. Low bitterness. Glad I saved a few bottles of this!
Old rating from 2003 - Bottled. Dark mahogany. Fruity licorice aroma. Syrupy mouthfeel, some coffee, very rich and warming with sugary finish. (7/4/6/3/13)
