Draft 10 oz pkur at Cairn. This base beer is a standout brown for me, which is rare for me to find within the style, so I was happy to see they threw it in a barrel with staves and such. Makes this even more unique. Some roasted malt front on the flavor. Toast linger. Some cool bourbon, and long lasting oak. Pretty much on par with the expectations I had with this, looking back at my notes on the regular version. Aroma is a blend of dough malts, caramel, wood, whiskey, and a sweet touch. I dont know if its the whiskey barrel, but I get a soft green apple like impression with this, that I can't decide if I'm into or not. High carb on this pour. A unique and flavorful brown. I think I prefer the regular version, but this was an interesting try to say the least.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. Glowing golden orange pour, petty consistent with the entire dries as expected. Very melon like heavy aroma. Flavor as well, very melon like fruit. Low bitter, even lower sweetness. Soft hop bite, an d long linger. I'd probably call this one of the better fyi the series, though I'd never guess based on what I have opinions on in the hop world. Cool series. Good beer.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. Pours a dark copper, reddish color. Metallic fronted, rich caramel malt aroma. Thick, syrupy body to this. Metallic. Rich, ripe banana like notes. Lingering flavor, which lasts forever. A sipper of a scotch ale for me, but good qualities for sure.

Draft pour pint at Cairn, during candle light week here ast the brewery. Quote the incredible setting to enjoy a beer in. A golden orange pour. This beer wss brewed for a local Kenmore sports pib I've never been to. Still can't decide if I want to go check it out or not, so until then, I'll try their house beer at the source. Very mild aroma of bready malt, wheat. Flavor is cool, light. Crisp front, Apple light grain. This hints at gabbing a tart side, though I don't think it's intentional. Wheat and orange fruit. Strange, but this could have been much worse. Enjoyable.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. Finally getting around to trying this beer, and since I've actually had quite a lot of macro Mexican lager lately, I'm actually pretty stoked to ty this at this time. A copper amber pour. Soft metallic, even softer bready malts on the nose. Plenty of flavor in this, which instantly separates it from a typical beer in the style. Flavor isn't bad at all either. Cool, slightly sweet bready malt. A bit watery, but just barely. Exceptional for the style.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. Amazing how different all the beers in this series have been. Confused on if I'm rating the hop or the beer at this point. Shiny golden pour. Heavy carb. Slight Apple grain aroma. Flavor is a dry, dusty straw like grain. Plastic notes. Slight fruit hop, but more bitter, dry. Chalky. Strange. Not my go to in this series, but not too bad.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. Up and down with this series, but thos one seemed to be one of the more pleasant. Golden orange pour. Melon fruit, straw like grains on the aroma. Similar flavor. Distinct melon hops, low bitter. Flavorful and refreshing. Good addition to the series.

Draft pour at Washington Brewers Fest. First beer of the festival for me, and I pick the one from the brewery closest to my house. Mostly clean penny copper pour with a thin, oily head. Sweet aroma, filled with caramel and cream notes. Nutty constant, very sweet linger. Pretty good.

Draft 11 oz pour at Cairn, Kenmore. A near black pour with a patchy tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, and sweet milk chocolate aroma. Sweet malt front, chocolate, hidden vegetal Norte, and a hint of coffee in the flavor. Flavorful lager for sure. Very toasty. Interesting lager. Nothing special, but not bad.

Draft 11 oz pour at Cairn, Kenmore. Fun series. Golden orange pour with a oily fizz head. Everything I thought I knew about El Dorado hops is now out the window. This is so fruity. Pineapple, and a ton of tropical fruit constant. So sweet. Rich constant. Harsh lingering fruit sweetness. This was a miss for me.
