Draft pour pint at Cairn, Kenmore. Mostly clean copper pour with very little head. Has a fruity Belgian like aroma, with little rye impressions, though they come through in the flavor. Belgian fruity constant, with a nice pairing of rye spice. Sturdy grain finish, and cool. Drinks pleasant. Good beer here.

Draft 10 oz pour at Cairn. Pretty solid Belgian Strong here. A reddish tinted cola brown pour with a thin head. Some dark fruit and toffee aroma. maybe some hints of chocolate too. Flavor is reasonably calm for double digits. Hints of cherry and other dark fruit. More bold flavors than sweet. Drinks nicely. A well made beer here. Impressed with this one.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. Interesting series, though I feel some have worked and others not so much. This one is one that worked for me. Brighter, golden orange pour with a thin fizz head. A constant sharp grapefruit going on here. A slightly sweet side. Fun hop profile that I don’t believe I’ve ever known on a solo basis. Cool lingering finish. Pretty good.

Draft pour at Cairn, Kenmore. A clean golden pour with a lasting, active foam head. A sweet, malty, grapefruit like aroma. Flavor is quite sweet as well. A bit on the buttery side. Sweet citrus fruit, and creamy. Odd, but not too bad. Something just seems off about this. Don’t need a whole lot of this IIPA though. Most importantly, an IIPA that berko hasn’t had, but since we are on the subject.. Hey man, there is a new double IPA a quarter mile from my house. Its about time you make another visit!

Draft pour to a schooner at Cairn, Kenmore. A copper amber pour with a thin, oily head. Metallic, malt centered aroma. Flavor is along the same lines. Slight Belgian impression over a long metallic constant. Very cool. Bitter late. An alright beer here. A seemingly good malt bill, but more mellow, and less metallic, and we would have a winner, in my opinion. Still, drinks decent, and good qualities for sure.

Draft pour pint at Cairn, Kenmore. From notes. A clean copper orange pour with a thin film head. Sweet and slight vegetable hop aroma. Grassy and a bit odd. A little on the thick side, and a little buttery. Perhaps not the go-to hop profile for me. No citrus impressions, but still finds a way to be sweet. A slight vegetable reminder late. A strange overall, looking back. Not too impressed with this beer, or this series really, especially compared to their usual lineup of beers.

Draft pour to a schooner at Cairn. A copper orange pour. A slightly sweet, malt focused aroma. Slight butter action in the flavor, creamy, slight vegetal hops and rich caramel malt. Not bad, but doesn’t really showcase the mosaic hops much. Doesn’t pair too well with the malt bill. A couple tweaks is all it needs. Still drinks decent. Not bad.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. A sub strewing cold temperature walk with the dog from home to the brewery, a stout seemed to be the best pairing. Poured on nitro. Thick, jet black pour with a tan cream foam cap. Chocolate milk aroma. Dang is this beer sweet. Super sweet milk chocolate constant. Very creamy. Vanilla. Palate feels like straight sugar. Still has a nice warming effect. A bolder roasted malt to balance out the sweet would make this a winner for me. Still a decent stout here. UPDATE: Almost 2 years later, and this best is award winning. Definitely deserves a rebate. Draft pour at Cairn without the nitro. Not as overpowering on the sweetness this time around. Smooth. Creamy milk chocolate and oats. Enjoyed this much more this time around.

On tap at Cairn, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted bready and biscuity malt. Flavour brings out dry toasted malt and earthy notes. Dry and drinkable, but uninteresting.

On tap at Cairn, pours a deep dark caramel brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bread malt and red fruits. Flavour is similar and simple, with red fruits, bready malt and weird residual sweetness. Not exactly to style but not off. Unimpressive overall.
