Can courtesy of cgarvieuk dregs run. Appearance - hazy amber. Nose - burning hay. Burnt fruit cake. Taste - oranges and toffee. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long and fairly balanced finish. Overall - resembles slightly an ESB. More malt character than expected. Decent though.

Sampled from the cask at GTMW 2016. Pours a cloudy brown with a bubbly brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy dark grains, roasted malts and a decent amount of raspberry. Flavor has sweet dark grains and raspberries with some earthy roasted malts underlying.

Out of a can, so no appearance. Aroma is straightforward hops and malt. Flavor’s similar to nose, is well balanced and super smooth. Excellent body and finish.

Hazy copper coloured body with an orange glow and a thin, half centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, resin, pineapple, grass and a touch of cream. Medium-bodied; Strong rich hoppy flavour with some subdued grassy and citrus flavours and a pungent alcohol and warmth from the bigger body and hoppy elements. Aftertaste shows a more refined sweetness with a big hop presence and a lot of malt and an almost full-bodied flavour. Overall, a strong and pungent Imperial IPA with some deep alcohol flavours, a lot of malt and a good fresh pineapple and citrus notes throughout. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from West Lakeview Liqours in Chicago, Illinois on 11-May-2016 for US$11,49 sampled at home in Upstate (New Paltz), New York on 23-November-2016.

Relatively clear amberand copper coloured body with a small, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright hops, some tropical fruits, a little resin, alcohol and light malt - there is no pineapple noticeable at all. Medium-bodied; Grassy and resinous piney hop flavour with a lot of grain, earth and acidic flavours that barely show off the pineapple along with a bit of grassy and herbal hops elements. Aftertaste is relatively mild with some yeast, grass, resin, high alpha acid hops and a bit of alcohol noticeable as well. Overall, a decent beer, but not a great Imperial IPA nor one for their purported style. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from West Lakeview Liqours in Chicago, Illinois on 25-May-2016 for US$11,49 sampled at home in Washington a few minutes after completing the 2016 USMC Marathon with my wife on 30-October-2016 - Congrats Amanda!

Sample at Sheffield’s in Chicago. The beer pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thick white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Tropical fruit, hops and malt in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of grapefruit, resiny hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
