Relatively clear amberand copper coloured body with a small, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright hops, some tropical fruits, a little resin, alcohol and light malt - there is no pineapple noticeable at all. Medium-bodied; Grassy and resinous piney hop flavour with a lot of grain, earth and acidic flavours that barely show off the pineapple along with a bit of grassy and herbal hops elements. Aftertaste is relatively mild with some yeast, grass, resin, high alpha acid hops and a bit of alcohol noticeable as well. Overall, a decent beer, but not a great Imperial IPA nor one for their purported style. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from West Lakeview Liqours in Chicago, Illinois on 25-May-2016 for US$11,49 sampled at home in Washington a few minutes after completing the 2016 USMC Marathon with my wife on 30-October-2016 - Congrats Amanda!

Sample at Sheffield’s in Chicago. The beer pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thick white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Tropical fruit, hops and malt in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of grapefruit, resiny hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
