Can. Just red-tinged amber with a white head that's soon a coat. Jammy raspberry aroma with almonds, wheat crackers. Wouldn't pick the rhubarb from the aroma and it really only makes its presence felt on the palate with a low key but piercing tartness. I guess there's some (lacto?) sourness from the beer side too, but between the two they only just compete with the rather sweet, simple and jammy raspberries. Some light woody spice notes at the end. Pleasant enough.

[9Oct] Bottle. Deep amber with a near white head. 4 Aroma of bright fruit and layers of toffee, chocolate and bread crust. Orange, grapefruit, gooseberry, lychee, pine. Highly reminiscent of the first batch of Mikk/ BridgeRd Dark Harvest. Just sweetish with bread, caramel and chocolate, oranges and some herbal notes build towards the moderately bitter finish. Hoppy amber is a hard sell for me: either the malt dominates and the hops end up stewed and brooding or the hops tear through and render the malt pointless. No such problems here. Good stuff. [3.8]

[30Oct] Leaving score as is, but has dropped off a little [~.2] in this short time.

Bottle at the Birmingham Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is lager malt, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a malt, light cardboard, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. If I had to drink a lager for the rest of the evening I could quite easily drink this one.
