"The beer is golden in colour with what I would call a normal foamy top. Initial taste is malt but the bitterness dissipates quickly and it finishes very sweet for a lager. Very similar to the beer I had from Azerbaijan but I think this is slightly better." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

45cl can from a random supermarket in Almaty. Pours clear, pale yellow with a modest, white head. Mild grainy aroma with hints of ripe fruits and a hint of cooked vegetables. Not the worst, just another rather standard pale lager. --- Beer merged from original tick of Alma-Ata Yachmennoe (Ячменное) on 24 Sep 2019 at 20:43 - Score: 4

On the lower end of the scale, not very impressive. --- Beer merged from original tick of Derbes Классическое on 24 Sep 2019 at 20:01 - Score: 4

45cl can from Small, Almaty. Pours clear pale golden with a fast dissipating white head. Sweet fruits, malt, caramel and alcohol. Sweet, alcoholic and a bit unpleasant. There are certainly worse, but the design on the can and the name makes it all worthwhile.
