Bistro 13th IPA Fest notes. For the day, I picked this as the runner-up, a close second to Russian River’s Hopfather. Extremely pungent aroma. Intense and thick with tons of hops. Grapefruit, floral, pine hops combine wonderfully with honey and light malt notes. A real hop juice. Solidly bitter in the finish, nearly astringent. Medium dry and smooth. Great stuff.

Hazy red amber with a lasting and creamy off-white head. Juicy fruit aroma, with biscuit malt, and a bit of grass. Sweet biscuit malty flavour with citrus and greaan tobacco notes. A bit rough in the bitterness.

On tap. Pours with a black body with a huge tan head. Aroma is HUGE, coffee, rich espresso, decadent and a little nutty. Taste is huge coffee again, creamer, rich, espresso, layers upon layers of mocha. GREAT! Smooth and decadent.

Pitch black color, very hoppy grapefruity, over truffles, dark fruit with a touch of molasses in the nose. Very rich dark chocolate and dark fruit over a massively hoppy mouth. Way over the top hoppy mouth. The hops feel like they are goin to rip apart your tastebuds. All roasted flavors are basically lost. Just way too much, but not with out merit. Seriously a top three hoppiest beers I’ve ever had. Wow.

Cloudy golden with a medium off white head. Sweet and yeasty nose with ripe fruits and malty notes. Flavour came out fairly sweet with yeast, fruits and malty notes. Finished kind of dry though from the hops.

Clear golden with a medium to large beige head. Hoppy aroma with pine, grapefruits and malty hints. Flavor had loads of hops, pine and grapefruits. Finished dry and bitter. Nice one.

Black with a medium to large beige head. Aroma had plenty of burned malt, dark chocolate, plenty of hops and espresso. Flavour had burned malt, dark chocolate, mouth drying hops, espresso and hints of liquerice. Lovely stout.

Clear golden with a medium off white head. Aroma came out fruity and yeasty with floral notes. Flavour had yeast, fruity, floral and malty notes. Finished slightly dry and mild bitter.

Near black with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with loads of espresso, dark chocolate, burned malt and hints of vanilla. Sweet flavour packed with espresso, dark chocolate, hops, burned malt and vanilla. Finished dry and bitter. Lovely.
