This brew is a luminous orange/amber color with a medium off-white head. Thin and sticky lacing. The aroma is lightly spiced and fruity, along with some yeast. Medium-bodied with peach, yeast, wheat and spice flavors. The finish is dry and fruity, with sweet malt peeking through. Pretty solid through and through.

Bottle. 2004 Bottling. I can see how this could easily be a love or hate it beer. While I don’t hate it, I don’t find it all that interesting. It’s an experiment that dosn’t quite come together. Dark brown-reddish beer witha huge beige head. Sour cherry aroma with yeast and a sweet malt backing. Cherry and cotton candy flavor with spicey yeast elements that end in some cocoa-like flavors that leave a strange flavor in the mouth. I wish the lambic blend stood out just a little more to let there actually be something to it, but instead its a dull playdough backing.

Fruity aroma. Dark yellow appearance. Enormous head that last a very long time. Flavor is also of fruit with malt sweetness. Light palate.

I have been growing rather fond of this brewer in recent months. I managed to sample most of their stuff at some beer festivals but not enough to have rated them yet. This was my first chance to try this one - and given my love of wheat beers I had pretty high expectations. Sampled from a 25 oz brown bottle this beer poured a straw yellow color with a large white head. There was a moderately strong wheat and citrus aroma. The flavor was surprisingly mild. There was not much citrus. There was only a mild sour-sweet wheat flavor. Drinkable but rather bland.

Bottle at the Syracuse Holiday Brewfest Dec.04 2004. Hazy yellowish ale. Delightful banana aroma with spices and lemon. Rather light in body with good cloves and creamy mouthfeel. Yum.

Bottled. Muddy dark brown. Cherry liqueur aroma. Intensely roasty with lively mouthfeel. Notes of berries and coffee - this is chocolate covered strawberries with champagne! Oaky bière de garde-like lively finish. A complex and very interesting beer.

Bottle. Amber color with a big off-white head. Rich fruity, malty, caramel, yeasty aroma. Fruity (cherry, plum) and yeasty flavors over a malt backing. Aroma is great but the flavor needs a bit of complexity added. Medium body leaning towards thin.

Hazy blonde colour with a soapy fast-dying white head. Aroma of hay, pepper, curacao and wheat. Light-bodied; Spicey pepper taste with definate noticeable coriander seed. Overall, not as impressed as expected, but hey, it is Ommegang! I sampled this 75 cL bottle on 15-May-2004 at the May RB Party in Toronto, Ontario.

Yellow, white head. Yeasty coriander nose. Spicy yeasty flavor with a short slightly tart finish. Not one of my favorite styles
