At SAVOR. Poured a pale straw color with a small hazy body and a fixxy head. Aroma was some mild herbal notes, touch of very mild lemon, and a little grassy note to it. Lightly crisp.

Pretty well balanced considering the huge amount of barrels. Roast, lots of caramel and some oak. Dark chocolate. Creamy consistency. A little booze. Good but wouldn’t drink a lot of this. Sweet finish with some oak astringency. Tap at Churchkey.

Draft at Partisan, courtesy of John of Mozambique, obrigado! Hazy bright pale yellow color, white head. Aroma of salt and light spice. Taste goes beyond earthy to tart citrus and stone fruit. Refreshing and tasty enough.

Can. Dark golden with thick off-white head- citrus sweetness and pine notes to the taste. Finishes clean. Nice IPA.

Can, which overflows with foam when popped. Pours a clear light gold with a thin head minus the foam that spilled over the glass when poured (I hate cleaning crap up on the basement floor...) Aromas are faintly lemony with a hint of honey(?) sweetness and little else. Flavor hits first with nondescript bitterness that then is ever-so-slightly sweet (remember the honey?) with a hint of lemon on the tail end. As a session IPA, this is decent... but it’s still pretty boring. The malt and hops play nicely together and still give a bit of hoppy punchiness without slipping into hop tea mode, but it still lacks brightness.

Can. Deep gold/amber with a thin head and aromas of silo dust and non-descript bitterness. Flavor is chewy grain dust with a tangy bitter. Blech.

12oz can pours a murky orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is OK, grist, some mild toffee sweetness, a little pepper, some grass. Flavor is quite muddled, grist is more on the stale side, light pepper, some grass, straw. Spritzy finish. OK.
