Draught at Malmö Bryghus
Black color, with creamy head. Dark chocolate aroma, nice, with a hint of vanilla. Good body, with smooth mouthfeel; great chocolate flavor; there is some heavily roasted malt (or coffee, I’m told by the brewer), that is more evident after a few sips, and bring the balance in Stouts field; also a light acidity from the roasting. It has a strong bitterness.
Probably as good as a Porter can be.

Draught at the brewpub
The color is almost black, with too small head. Se aroma of dark malts, light smell of ripe fruits (apples). Compared to the Möllan Porter tasted side to side, the mouthfeel is not so smooth and the flavor not so chocolatey; it plays more with medium roasted malts, and the chocolate/cacao is in the background, not so evident. Correct bitterness, with very light malt acidity.
Pleasant, without thrills.

Amber color, with nice fine perlage and creamy, generous head. The aroma is malty, earthy, with mild notes of cereals, fruits (apricot, peach), hop flowers; different, interesting. Very good flavor of malt, grains, toffee, with a biscuity tone; lean and soft mouthfeel; strong bitterness, with some hop resins; long final, very balanced between the malt and hop.
It doesn’t have the fresh hop characteristics of most IPAs, it’s more malt/caramel/toffee forward than hop forward, but with a slim and easy drinkable body.
Excellent surprise.
