On tap. Pours an almost clear amber with a small white head. Fruity berry-like aroma. Medium body, distinct notes of blackcurrant with a whiff of yeast. Distinctly bitter finish. Fairly unusual and actually quite interesting. 100312

750 ml bottle courtesy of Roland. Consumed on December 26. Pours clear pale golden with a small bubbly white head that quickly dissipates. Smell is sweet with caramel, butterscotch, some sweet fruit and vanilla. Taste is slightly sweet and quite bitter with resin and hints of caramel, pine and butterscotch. Mouthfeel is quite watery. Finish is rather dry and bitter. Quite nice for a pilsner.

750 ml bottle courtesy of Roland. Consumed on December 25. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a small mocha head that dissipates quickly without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with chocolate, banana, vanilla and some alcohol. Smells almost like a banan split. Taste is rather dry and slightly bitter with cocoa, banana and toasted malts. Finish is slightly sweet without much more going on. It’s rather one-dimensional and slightly watery but yet quite easy to drink.

On tap. Clear dark brown with a warm reddish hue and a creamy beige head leaving laces. Distinctly sweet coffee aroma. Quite full-bodied, very sweet roast and caramel with intense coffee notes. Some burned malty bitterness in the finish, but the sweetness dominates. 301011
