Description
For us, good living means exploring – the opposite of “comfortable.” It’s not just about craft, but about questing, questioning, transforming “What If” into “Here’s How,” by way of an experiment so crazy, it just might work.

Exploration is the line from local beer maker to World-Class Brewer. It’s a pioneer impulse, and it sets the authentic, rural heartbeat of Southern Tier. It’s how we got here. And by the time others catch up, it’ll be why we’re already somewhere else.

From our wildly innovative founder, Phin DeMink, who’s still a daily inspiration, to the new generation of brewers, thinkers, and drinkers who share our pursuit of what’s next, we keep honing the creative edge of brewing discovery.

So this is an open invitation, to anyone who gives a damn about the difference between a well-crafted beer and a stunningly satisfying encounter with the new. Join us on the road less traveled.

Bottled. Poured an orangey shade. Nice hops aroma and not overdone taste. Earthy and good.

Draft at blind tiger. At first I thought it smelled like vanilla then I realized it was like burnt butterscotch. Alcohol was not well camouflaged and it burned on the way down. Hard to drink really.

Pours amber with a medium head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is mild floral, not as hoppy as one would expect. Neither is taste. Blending of hops is noticeable, some malts. Good.

Poured a nice orange. A bit of head that disappears quickly. Nice pumpkin spice and cinnamon aroma. Pumpkin bread like taste with hops to finish. Well done.

Draft. Poured almost a bronze and reminiscent of a Schneider Weisse. Real good.

hmmm....well maybe I’m just darned drunk but this beer tastes like a standard good craft american IPA to me. It’s a good one, don’t get me wrong, but the hops overpower pretty much all for me.

Bottled. Pours orangey mild head, your classic hops aroma and taste. A good example of the style.
