Pours a deep golden colour with a large head. Subtle, buttery aroma. Herbal, somewhat harsh flavour. A little bit too much carbonation.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Near black with beige head. Fruity licorice aroma. Mid dry with grainy malt. Medium bodied with plenty of aniseed. Feels more like a salty fruity ale with plenty of aniseed than an average porter.

On tap at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, September 2010. Slightly hazy amber with a small white head. Plesant aroma of malt, cookies and some hops. The same in the taste. A very good Oktoberfestbier, propably the best I have enjoyed. Good work!

Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm. Clear amber, creamy head. Buttery malt with grassy hops atop. Soft, deep and firm malt forms a medum sized body. Creamy and gentle, yet solid. Perfectly balanced grassy spicy bitterness. Absolutely superb malt character, I thought it took something like 500 years of experience to achieve this... Hats off!
