Privately owned since 1809, the Ochsenfurter Kauzen-Bräu stands for traditional Franconian brewing culture. The brewery was not always called Kauzen Bräu. It was not until 1974 that the Ochsenfurt monastery brewery was renamed the Kauzen Brewery.

Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, banana, fruity, clove notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, fresh.
