Bottle at home. Has a deep reddish brown to black color and a small, light brown head. Roasted aroma with ash, coffee, dark chocolate and some fruit and flowers in the background. Roasted flavor as well with tones of coffee beans and very dark chocolate, but also pine and leather. Has a silky mouth feel, full body and medium, balanced bitterness. A powerful BIPA with a nice mix between stout and IPA. Well-balanced.

500 ml bottle, batch 06 16, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate to low white head. Aroma of malts and pale wort, hints of honey, wood and stale jam. The flavour is neither too sweet nor too dry, again hints of honey and wood, with moderate bittering hops in the finish.

Flaske, delt med Odd Gunnar, i solskinnet ombord på Marna Cafe sin lekter: lett uklar gylden med flott skum som varer helt til bunns. Lett aroma av granskudd og furu. Flott bitterhet med akkurat nok blomstersødme i smaken og den lange ettersmaken. En eksemplarisk god pilsner. Slik kan det gjøres!

Taste is harsh roasted, burnt grain, minerals, burnt coffee, bark, harsh grass, pine needles, ashtray, hops, cereal, burnt caramel. Longlasting dry bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. As a DIPA (as they call it), it’s a total failure in every way. As a black IPA, it’s just.....meh!

Smaksprøve fra Rune. Mørk gyldenbrun. Høyt bobleskum med litt farge. Bra aroma av frukt & litt bær. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken innholdsrik. Ulik frukt med et syrlig underlag. Blir litt tørr & bitter etter hvert. Ikke helt god ettersmak.
