Tap at Zenith. In a plastic thingy so no idea what it looks like. Old grass. Sweet, a bit sticky and heavy with a sliiiiight sour note that shouldn't be there.

"Meckatzer Fest-Märzen", Flasche von Grabsch, Lichterfelde. - Helles Kupfergold, klar; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase blasses Toastmalz, sauber gerstig, und milde hopfenwürzig-orangenfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk etwas hart gerstig und nur leise toastmalzig. Blasse Restsüße mit einem Hauch von Honig. Feine aber etwas zu unauffällige herbale Hopfung (das Etikett spricht von Tettnanger Aromahopfen). Durchschnittlich rezent, für ein Märzen wenig vollmundig. - Gediegenes aber ein wenig blasses Märzen. Etwas weniger schwäbische Sparsamkeit hätte hier gutgetan. (4.2.2025.)

500ml bottle from Beermoth in Manchester. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, bread, grain & malt. Medium body. Sweet malty finish. Highly enjoyable

Bottle from LCB, consumed 1 month past BBE. Clear gold with small off white head, good retention. Aroma of malt, cereal, light corn/veg, spicy and floral hop. Taste is a pleasant affair - some cereal and bread but fairly clean for the style with a slight tangy stone fruit amongst the bitter earthy finish. Medium bodied, fine to moderate carbonation. Golden. Aroma is light grassy hops light eggwhite faint malt. Taste is medium bitter hops with faint malty sweetness and sour carbonation. No obvious flaws, well balanced but not many interesting flavours.
